Trek Emonda – Campagnolo Chorus

Trek meets Campagnolo in a fusion of cycling superstar manufacturers … and a set of Mavic wheels are sent in to referee the outcome!

And the result is a fantastic bike that just begs the eye to roam over it. Our customer for this build has ridden an earlier Trek 3.1 Madone for the last few years and was looking to move up a level or three. He loved the Trek geometry and fit of his existing bike, so we made a joint decision to make a really nice bike around one of Trek’s Emonda SLs. For those that don’t know, a whole lot of Trek bikes are available as a frame only for those that like to put together custom machines – this adds a lot to their standard offer.

This bike is really pimped. There is no other word for it. A carbon Campag Chorus groupset (that’s a beefy 170mm 36/52 pro compact up front) turns a set of Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL wheels. The bike is steered by a set of short drop Enve handlebars and padded out with Lizardskin DSP bar tape. The throne for this king of a rider is the classic Fizik Arione saddle.
