This is a totally custom Project One Trek Emonda SLR. We did not actually spec and build it but it is the 2016 race bike of Lucy Shaw, who is a pro-rider with Drops and also shop staff at Red Kite Cycles. So this is a bike that spends plenty of time in pre-race fettling mode with us – and it took Lucy to an 8th place finish in the UK Women’s National Road Race this year. Tidy riding, tidy bike.
In this guise Lucy rides the Aeolus 3 wheels in carbon, a custom Miami Green paint finish, and a Dura Ace groupset. She has deeper section Bontrager wheels for flat and fast stage racing. This frame is particularly notable for being the lightest mainstream production frame available, for having direct mount brakes, and for having the H1 race shop geometry. This last attribute refers to the low-cut front end that allows a more committed race position for a strong rider such as Lucy. She loves this bike and will be on a new version of the same in 2017, all things being equal.
