This bike is born from a passion for steel. It is super lightweight, rugged and rideable. But in terms of beauty and uniqueness it trumps just about any bike you could park next to it.
Key features here are:
- Totally custom paint finish – this is known as the “flamme” technique and is achieved with first painting a metallic silver base coat which lies under a second layer of transparent acid yellow/green gel top lacquer. It is a 3/4 finish that reveals stainless details on the main frame and the rear stays. It is a triumph.
- Custom handbuilt wheels – Chris King Hubs, Sapim C-Xray spoking, brass nipples and wide Pacenti SL23 rims. Tough, light and beautiful. Hubs match the understated black Chris King headset.
- Campagnolo groupset – Chorus, 12-29 and 34/50. This man lives by the hills of South Wales and regularly rides the Brecons and the valley roads. Chorus is all carbon and is fantastic value.
- 3T Finishing kit in carbon with 2.5mm Lizard Skin bar tape and a few bits of red spangle here and there. It works.
